ABC Metals hosts 26 high school students on Manufacturing Day

PHARR, TX. October 6, 2017 – ABC Metals, Inc. hosted 26 high school students on Manufacturing Day 2017. Students from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (PSJA) Southwest Early College High School in the dual enrollment program with South Texas College were invited to tour the ABC Metals service and distribution center located in Pharr, Texas. The students toured the facility while Luis Gonzalez, Plant Manager, explained the processes and the role ABC Metals held within the manufacturing industry.

“It was a nice tour and a good experience for the students,” said Luis Gonzalez. “They had a lot of questions. We enjoyed hosting them and are looking forward to participating in Manufacturing Day again next year.” ABC Metals in Pharr, Texas, slits and distributes primarily non-ferrous flat rolled materials to support the metal forming industries in the Southern United States and Northeastern Mexico. The plant in Pharr is one of three ABC Metals facilities in the U.S.
