MPI Corporation hires Jeff Pratt as VP of M&A

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – January 18, 2016. MPI Corporation welcomes Jeffrey S. Pratt as the newest member of the corporate staff. Mr. Pratt will serve as Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions, responsible for evaluating and acquiring existing businesses to diversify the holdings of MPI Corp.

Jeff Pratt joins MPI Corp with over 25 years of experience in finance and investment banking, most recently as founder and Managing Director of Creekview Capital, LLC, a merchant banking firm focused on secured investments to grow small businesses. Prior experience includes regional manager and team leadership roles with JPMorganChase in Detroit, Chicago, Dayton/Cincinnati, and Indianapolis. After Chase, Jeff established the Indiana advisory office for Brady Ware Capital, a business advisory and investment banking firm. Jeff was also a Senior Commercial Banker for STAR Financial Bank where his focus was on helping business owners find solutions to their problems. Jeff Pratt brings to the position not only years of banking experience, but also the perspective of an entrepreneur and business owner, as he is also a shareholder of Midwest Parts Team, a family owned chain of NAPA Auto Parts stores.

MPI Corporation Acquires C. H. Ellis Company

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – December 1, 2015. MPI Corporation, an investment holding company based in Indianapolis, today announced that they have acquired the assets of C. H. Ellis Company, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of stock and custom cases for industrial customers.

MPI Corporation Adds Three New Hires


INDIANAPOLIS, IN – February 27, 2015. MPI Corporation has hired three professionals to increase capabilities and capacity in Human Development. Core to MPI Corporation’s mission to build businesses and enrich lives is the development of its people in their professional, leadership, and personal skills. Through investment in our people, we can build prosperous businesses that have lasting effects on the communities in which they operate, and on the people they employ and serve.

Patrick Caldwell has joined MPI Corporation as Human Development Manager for Corporate Programs. His responsibilities will include the creation and management of our onboarding program, management training programs, performance coaching system, and coordination of the Work & Beyond programs. Patrick will be helping determine areas that could use improvement, and implementing plans for better personal development company-wide.

Michael Federspill has joined MPI Corporation as Human Development Manager for Skills & Recruitment. His responsibilities include management recruitment, development of technical training curriculums, and developing and managing our skills assessments and databases. Michael will be working with universities, high school career centers, local agencies, and others to recruit talent and assess fit within our culture for the operating companies of MPI Corporation. He will also be responsible for assessing gaps within our skillsets, and assisting with succession planning and career development.

Doug Wilburn has joined MPI Corporation as Professional Skills Development Manager. Doug will be reviewing and improving current procedures in manufacturing operations. Doug will assess skill levels in key technical positions and develop, prioritize and execute skill development programs to ensure an internal supply of technical human resources to support the growth of the businesses.


Densborn named Youn Impact Scholar

CHICAGO, IL – June 2, 2014. Elissa Densborn, Director of Enterprise Risk Management for MPI Corporation, has been named as a Youn Impact Scholar by the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Ms. Densborn, a 2014 MBA candidate, is one of only five students so honored.

The Youn Impact Scholars program is designed to recognize and support Kellogg students and alumni in their efforts to influence public policy and leverage private sector resources to accomplish positive social change. Ms. Densborn was recognized primarily for her work as an adviser to Byoearth, a Guatemalan, woman-owned enterprise that develops vermicomposting systems useful to sustain the most vulnerable elements of the Guatemalan population and the environment it inhabits.

Ms. Densborn, who has concentrated her graduate education in Entrepreneurship, Management, Strategy and Marketing is expected to earn her master’s degree with honors in June. She graduated with high distinction from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2007 with majors in Accounting and Finance and is a Certified Public Accountant. During her undergraduate years, she had several public sector internships, most notably with the National Economic Council at the White House. In 2011, Ms. Densborn joined MPI Corporation after a stint in the Chicago office of the international accounting firm, PwC.
