The Payroll & Benefits Administrator will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll, and provide timely and accurate financial information regarding payroll and benefits.   This position will work with all levels of the organization and partner with Human Resource personnel to provide employees with assistance and information regarding payroll and benefits.  This position reports to the VP of Human Resources, MPI Corporation.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Data entry for payroll processing
  • Performs and coordinates all activities necessary to process weekly payroll
  • Process employee data (new hires, changes, additional earning, etc.) and maintains accurate payroll and benefits related records
  • Understand all aspects of payroll in regards to payroll laws and regulations
  • Provide employees customer service in the area of payroll and benefits
  • Assist in implementation, administration, and communication of the employee benefit plans
  • Assist employees in registering for or resetting access to online portals
  • Coordinate training, benefits, and health promotion activities through human resources staff members
  • Prepare and submit reports and ensure all files are in compliance with mandated local, state, and federal regulations
  • Pay child support and prepare bills for other payroll deducted benefits and garnishments and forward to accounting for processing
  • Day to day administration of outside providers related to payroll and employee benefits
  • Assist in yearly 401k and payroll audits
  • Prepare annual compensation and vacation statements to be distributed to employees


Required Skills and Experience:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in payroll processing, preferred
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong verbal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees at MPI Corp operating companies
  • Time management with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and produce accurate results
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
