Technical Specialist (Quality Control)

Supports production of quality products consistent with established standards by performing the duties listed below.  Reports directly to the ABC Corporate Quality Manager.



  • Compiles and submits Customer PPAP packages for all locations
  • Reviews and approves Supplier PPAP packages for all locations
  • Communicates with quality manager all issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation
  • Provides disposition and/or direction to personnel engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products to all sites (ABC Logansport, .ABC Indianapolis, ABC Pharr, Texas and , ABC El Paso, Texas)
  • Provides support in all areas of quality, such as analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component
  • Records weekly & monthly metrics including weekly RMA details, PPM number, Lbs. returned, Customer and Supplier Issues
  • Documents Corrective Action Requests in Plex in full detail within 2 hours and assigns a champion to ensure the appropriate personnel are notified of a problem so they can begin root cause analysis and countermeasure formulation
  • Updates all Control Plans, FMEA’s and Flow Diagrams in compliance with the AIAG rules
  • Coordinates non-conforming material for disposition in all locations
  • Monitors gage system—adds gages and performs gage calibrations for all sites
  • Responsible for Non-Nettable material management (N/C, Suspect & Suspect Toll) for all facilities
  • Coordinates Customer & Supplier Returns/Issue RMA’s and create credits for all facilities
  • Reviews all credits with Quality Manager prior to issuing
  • Modifies or Revises quality related documents for shipment to the customer
  • Performs other duties as directed



  • Knowledge of the implementation requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Standard
  • Product and process documentation knowledge
  • Analytical and research skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Problem Solving – must be able to utilize 8-D and 5-Why tools
  • Customer Service – responds promptly to customer needs
  • Oral Communication – demonstrates ability to communicate clearly
  • Written Communication – writes clearly and informatively
  • Teamwork – contributes to building a positive team spirit and capable of leading a team
  • Bachelor’s degree or three years related experience
