Facility and Maintenance Lead: HTI

Provides direct leadership to the Maintenance Team. Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems in commercial and industrial applications. Accomplishes results through coaching, counseling, and directing people. Plans, monitors, and appraises job results. Implements and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and overall organizational standards, specifically those related to Maintenance. Provides general Maintenance supervisory direction in the absence of the Facility Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

  • Adheres to and upholds HTI policies and procedures
  • Leads the Maintenance Group on the floor
  • Supports maintenance staff and their daily tasks
  • Keeping the maintenance groups tasks focused and direct and ensure repairs are made
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is properly performed in a timely manner
  • Supporting the requirements given from management
  • Continual floating to all employees, providing support, direction, or guidance as needed
  • Remit parts requests for reorder
  • List all components needed for specific jobs and verify they are present for those jobs prior to start
  • Daily report progress of assigned tasks to Facilities Manager
  • Delegate daily assigned tasks to other employees based on equality and ability
  • Prioritize tasks in order of importance and address them accordingly
  • Help other employees in different areas
  • Assess and review performance of Maintenance team via GDP and consistent check-ins
  • Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
  • Communicates issues to shift lead and Management
  • Maintains work area in a state of order and cleanliness
  • Reviews charts for trends, erratic readings, smells and listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
  • Installs and repairs electrical components, such as bending and running conduit, service disconnects, transformers, wiring, multi-phase electric motors, and electrical / electronic components of equipment
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment
  • Installs and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as switches, contactors, frequency drives, sensors, etc.
  • Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
  • Operates powered industrial trucks (forklifts), scissor lift and boom lift
  • Helps start up or shut down furnaces when needed
  • Knowledge of the process trac sheets

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as direct supervisor of Maintenance employees (working lead).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1-3 years of maintenance experience is preferred
  • Able to read, write and speak fluent English
  • Ability to apply and utilize mathematical concepts such as technical mathematics, fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and ability to use a calculator to solve practical solutions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Physical Demand Sheet is attached):

  • Consistently use hands and fingers; able to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds; potentially need to move products up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to fumes and airborne particles
  • Able to work consistently with hearing protection and often in hot temperatures
