Job description

Loads, unloads and moves materials, packs, ships, Tracks and controls product flow through the entire process to ultimately ensure timely completion of jobs. Monitors the accuracy of inventory within the organization’s facilities which could include receiving, shipping and transfer orders. Could be asked to help with ASN’s, Dunnage, Scrap inventory, Cycle Counts

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Weighs and packs parts as indicated by instructions.
• Places parts in boxes, or other containers as instructed.
• Enters part data into computer information system (Syteline).
• Performs cycle counts of inventoried items as prescribed.
• Completes log sheet.
• Put parts in rack location as instructed.
• Pulls shipments.
• Affixes postage on packages.
• Compares items packed with customer’s order and other identifying data.
• Make copy of move tag when change of location occurs.
• Participates in Corrective Action Process
• Participates in continuous improvement activities for betterment of customer and company
• Assists with the movement of materials required to support all operations including but not limited to unloading skids from trucks, putting raw materials away, and moving product into the shipping area
• Operates a transport truck, safely hauling material/products to other locations, which could be local or over the road, obeying all state and federal regulations
• Performs all duties in accordance within defined procedures and instructions within the Plex ERP system
• Maintains the warehouse area in the scope of responsibility of production and work-in-process areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
• Locates raw materials from the warehouse marshaling area to the proper location in the storagearea
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area and enters transactions into system
• Restocks unused raw material and records the quantity returned on proper documents and into system
• Removes parts from the production area and conveys parts to the proper location for their next process
• Responds in the prescribed time frame to accommodate and on signals for each machine
• Prepares materials for O/S services including weighing and wrapping or banding as required
• Able to prioritize for maximum efficiency.
• Performs cycle counts of inventoried items as prescribed.
• Participates in the Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement activities
• Performs all duties in accordance with defined procedures within our Plex ERP system
• Performs Outside Service Scheduling (OSS) and planning
• Handles allocation of parts to outside service jobs
• Determines what quantities need to be processed for the shim program
• Receives and scraps sales
• Manages Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) and returnable dunnage
• Manages shipping scheduling and part expediting
• Responsible for cycle counting (setting up and performing counts) at all rack locations
• Accessing customer portals to coordinate shipping documents and labels as needed
• Scans POD’s by date to a controlled location
• Tracks and reports customer owned returnable dunnage
• Generate and evaluate manufacturing reports in Plex

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good attendance record
• Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to navigate ERP production control and data collection software
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to work scheduled production hours, which may be variable
• Must be able to accurately utilize a variety of measuring instruments after being given proper training
• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: $17.00 – $19.40 per hour
