MPI Corp Engages in High School Manufacturing Day

LOGANSPORT, IN – October 7, 2016. MPI Corporation hosted 20 juniors and seniors from Peru High School at our Small Parts, H.T.I., and ABC Metals plants in Logansport today for Manufacturing Day. Manufacturing day is an annual, nationwide event to celebrate modern manufacturing and inspire the next generation of manufacturers. This visit was the second of two tours of our plants given for the Manufacturing Day event. The first tour earlier this week was for students from Maconaquah High School.

The goal of the day was not only to meet the vision of Manufacturing Day, but also promote MPI Corporation and its subsidiaries and scope out future talent. In touring all three plants, the students were able to see all of the services that MPI Corporation provides: from stamping and subassembly to slitting and heat treating. The students also learned what exactly is done in each plant, how it is done, and about the working conditions within each plant. They also got to see our employees living out MPI Corporation’s values, mission, and vision. Students that we bring in for these tours are always impressed, not only with our people and how hard they work but also, with how enthusiastically they describe what they do.

Our mission here at MPI Corporation is Building Businesses, Enriching Lives. We are invested in human development as well as expanding our companies. Tours such as these are vital to promoting our company and cultivating future talent to allow our companies to grow.
